I haven’t seen anything about shipping yet? When will I get my order?

Thank you for your order! We generally make the bags as ordered, which means we have you in mind as we make them. Please allow 2-10 business days (depending on how many orders we have) before you get any shipping information.

Where is my favorite bag?

Some bags, that have been previously offered, are not currently being offered. We are working to get them available, but those will take time.

If you want to get info as soon as a certain bag is available, please let us know via the contact page.

How big are the bags?

There are several bags. Most bags have 3 sizes, but some only come in 1 size. Each should be listed with each bag. If you can’t find any dimensions, please let us know.

Do you make specialty or custom bags?

Yes! They will be more expensive than the main line of bags, as they generally take longer to make and design and often more fabric. As they do take longer to make, they will not be completed as quickly as other bags.

We love the challenge! Let us know what you need. We would love to help!

Do you do Bulk Orders?

Yes! We do bulk orders. We give a discount for 10 or more bags. Please Contact Us to let us know how we can help you.

How are they so tough? What makes them such great quality?

The fabric is 1000 denier Nylon Cordura. This fabric is durable and water repellant!

Every bag is triple stitched, and reinforced in places of high stress!

As of March 12th 2019, all zippers are YKK Brand zippers. They are stronger, more durable, and self repairing.

Other unique features to make them high quality include doubled elastics (when applicable), and foam inserts in the deluxe bags with a thin, but strong Nylon covering to protect your stuff.

How did you come up with the designs of the bags?

The designs were created by a railroader (See History page for more information) who just couldn’t find a bag that had everything he wanted or needed in a bag. He and his wife came up with the design for the Original. The Deluxe came a little later. Both were made with railroaders in mind, as were the shave kits, backpacks, and most of our other bags.

Some of the features specifically for railroaders include a time book pocket on the outside, reverser pockets, Tuffpads to help with weight distribution on shoulders, and snaps on backpacks for easy release.

Are Tuffbags Tax Deductible?

We are Not Tax Experts, but if you use your bag for work, it is tax deductible to our knowledge. Please Consult a local tax expert if you have any questions.

Will I get infected with Corona Virus (Covid-19) from a bag?

Short answer- Not likely.

Long Answer-

As you may know the virus can live on cardboard boxes for a day. On hard surfaces and plastic, it stays for 3 days.

A study done by Princeton and University of North Carolina with US Government funding, which was released on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 speaks about this. Here is a link to the MIT Technology Review that published it.

Another study says that ‘Porous surfaces - like money, hair, and fabric - do not allow viruses to survive as long because the minute spaces or holes in those materials can trap the microbe and prevent its transfer..’ See the full report here.

There is currently only one employee. This person is also the owner, manufacturer, janitor, and everything in between. I wash my hands often. I am already a bit of a clean freak, and can’t work in a messy environment. I clean the work space often. I have been following the news and am very cautious about all that has been going on with this thing.

If you feel this is not enough, I encourage you to wash the bag before use. They are machine washable. The box may reach you before the 3 day time frame. If you are concerned about this, please wash your hands after opening the box.

If you are still concerned, please feel free to reach out.
